Reporting to the EMEA Sales Director, the Senior Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving growth across the German market. You will be responsible for expanding and retaining a portfolio of strategic key accounts while identifying, pursuing, and onboarding new business opportunities.
This is a senior, high-impact position that blends strategic account leadership, commercial execution, and new business development within a specialist logistics and life sciences environment.
Role Responsibilities Overview:
  • 50% Hunting - identify, pursue, and onboard new business across pharma, biotech, laboratories, and R&D organisations
  • 50% Farming - own, manage, and grow a portfolio of strategic key accounts
  • Lead contract renewals, negotiations, tenders, and RFP processes
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior customer stakeholders
  • Deliver structured customer business reviews, performance reporting, and growth plans
  • Act as the senior escalation point for operational issues, ensuring rapid and effective resolution
  • Work closely with operations, quality, finance, customer service, and project teams
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity reporting in Salesforce
  • Represent Biocair at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events
  • Contribute directly to achieving Business Unit and revenue targets

What We Offer You:
  • Competitive salary: €80,000 – €105,000 per annum

What You’ll Bring:
  • Proven success as a commercially driven senior sales professional with a strong business development track record
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a value-based sales approach
  • Experience within specialist logistics, transport, freight forwarding, or pharmaceutical / life sciences supply chains
  • Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable engaging senior and C-level stakeholders
  • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial, results-driven approach
