For our client, a global reinsurer domiciled in Switzerland, we are looking for an Underwriting Assistant (100%) Underwriting Assistant (100%) Your responsibilities Register all relevant data from Underwriting submissions, acceptances and declinations in our IT systems Prepare in the relevant systems renewal information in a way that the Underwriter can start its risk assessment work and, in doing so, learn the basics of risk assessment Review and assess contractual wordings with regards to changes from prior years and, in doing so, learn the basic features of reinsurance contracts Work together with Technical Accounting and Claims Management to ensure that we provide a proper and timely service to our clients and brokers Maintain full overview of administrative matters with respect to selected client relationships Visit preparation for client/broker meetings Maintaining an orderly filing system (physical and/or in electronic format) On an as needed basis, training of new starters / temporary UW assistants Involvement in back-office projects Your profile Background in mathematics or a related quantitative field Any previous experience in a similar role within an international insurance environment is a plus Experience in re/insurance industry would be a strong asset Proficiency in English and preferably another European language Good knowledge of MS-Office applications; additional IT knowledge would be an asset Capable of working independently and managing pressure Detail-oriented with a proactive approach Friendly, positive personality with excellent communication skills, strong team spirit, and practical problem-solving abilities jid1bcba1ba jit0728a jiy26a
