You are part of the Direct Procurement organization within the Imaging Components business, based in Hamburg.
In your role, you work closely with key stakeholders such as R&D, Supplier Quality, global category management, external partners, and operational functions, while also being integrated into the global Procurement Engineering organization within CT/AMI.
Your role:
Selection and continuous development of strategically relevant suppliers for product-specific manufacturing technologies, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance
Development and implementation of strategies for component simplification, standardization, and supplier consolidation to realize cost savings and leverage spend
Independent execution of DfX analyses to improve cost, quality, and manufacturability
Design and leadership of supplier innovation activities in early development phases to align manufacturing processes with Philips' product and technology strategies
Close collaboration with R&D to integrate innovations and actively shape design specifications with a focus on manufacturability in the supplier market (third party), while meeting optimal cost, quality, and timeline targets
Development and maintenance of product cost roadmaps based on production data, cost models, benchmarking, and market data to enable data-driven cost optimization
Analysis of supplier proposals and market trends to identify cost reduction and value creation opportunities
Leadership of cost engineering, risk, and quality initiatives to actively influence product performance and sourcing strategies (e.g., BoM cost reduction, dual sourcing, supplier exit and transfer)
Execution of procurement project plans, including risk management, KPI-based governance, and structured reporting for senior management and project teams
Ensuring supplier readiness and capacity for prototype, pilot, and production ramp-up phases
Managing strategic sourcing processes, including early supplier involvement, qualification, and selection in line with technical specifications and standards
Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, quality systems (e.g., ISO), and regulatory requirements
Managing supplier integration for project-related bills of materials (BOM) and requests for proposals (RFPs)
Actively fostering cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Finance, Operations, Legal, and other stakeholders to align procurement and product/program objectives across different Philips businesses
You're the right fit if:
You have a Master's degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering
You bring extensive, solid professional experience in procurement, with a clear focus on strategic sourcing
You have an in-depth understanding of end-to-end procurement processes and their continuous improvement
You possess strong knowledge of relevant procurement and analytics tools for data-driven management of sourcing activities
You are able to provide functional leadership, as well as steer and influence cross-functional, international teams
You bring strong project management skills, particularly in complex, cross-functional projects
You demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial and cross-functional mindset, with a focus on overall optimization rather than isolated solutions
You are confident and persuasive when interacting with strategically important suppliers and internal stakeholders
You work in a structured, analytical, and results-oriented manner, with strong execution capabilities and ownership
You have excellent communication and presentation skills across all hierarchy levels
You are highly team-oriented, combined with a pragmatic, hands-on mentality and consistent adherence to regulatory and internal requirement
You are fluent in German and English
You are familiar with following tools: Windchill, Office 365 , SAP MBP, I2M Planner, Ariba S2C
