Job Title: System Test Engineer – Product Safety (m/f/d)

Job Description:

Be an integral part of a group of world-class Systems Test Engineers that ensure the high quality and standards compliance of our patient monitoring devices to help save lives all over the world.

Your role:

  • You are a part of the global Hardware Test Engineering organization within the Hospital Patient Monitoring business. You have a direct reporting line to one of the subgroup leaders located in Boeblingen Germany.
  • You will act as subject matter expert on product safety standards, particularly IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-2-x, ensuring our products meet the highest compliance standards.
  • You will execute complex product safety related system testing projects, maintaining a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance in a multi-project environment.
  • You will support and leverage external safety test houses, ensuring clarity and precision in technical exchanges.
  • You will author and manage detailed documentation of test procedures, outcomes, and compliance records, setting the standard for industry excellence.
  • You will support cross-functional teams, embedding product safety considerations into all product development phases, even when juggling multiple projects.

You’re the right fit if:

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field such as Electronics.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in system testing and product safety in a highly regulated environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • You have experience in electronics design (preferred).
  • You can demonstrate expertise in product safety standards, particularly IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-2-x.
  • You have an exceptional ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with conflicting priorities, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • You have good communication skills and the capacity to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You have experience in project management, with a history of achieving results in a dynamic, multi-faceted environment.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to communicate effectively at various levels of the organization. Additional language skills in German are preferred.

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
