Professor of the History of Philosophy — Hobbes to Hegel

The University of Bern invites applications for a full-time Professor of the History of Philosophy, commencing 1 August 2027 or soon thereafter. Appointment may be at assistant, associate, or full professor level depending on qualifications. The successful candidate will lead wide-ranging teaching and internationally visible research on the History of Philosophy, with a Hobbes–Hegel focus, and will teach in German and English. Strong collaboration and potential for funding are essential.
