Transformation / PMO Lead – PE-Backed Insurance Platform
Germany | Interim
We are supporting a fast-growing, PE-backed insurance platform in Germany that is looking to strengthen its central transformation capability.
This is not a traditional PMO role. The business has a number of strategic and operational initiatives running across the group and needs someone who can bring structure, pace and ownership to delivery — helping management prioritise, coordinate and drive key projects forward.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership across a range of topics, which could include commercial initiatives, operating-model development, broking, process improvement and wider transformation.
The role
You will:
- Take ownership of a portfolio of strategic and transformation initiatives across the group
- Bring structure, governance and clear accountability to multiple workstreams
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify blockers and drive decisions
- Support the development of business cases, priorities and delivery plans
- Provide analytical rigour and practical problem-solving across complex projects
- Ensure initiatives move from discussion into execution
- Help create greater visibility and coordination across the wider transformation agenda
The profile
We are particularly interested in individuals with:
- A background instrategy, transformation or programme delivery within either a management consulting environment (where you have supported Insurance clients) or directly within the Insurance world
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- A demonstrable bias toward execution and delivery
- Exposure to insurance, financial services or another complex regulated sector
- The confidence to work directly with senior management while remaining hands-on
- A proactive, high-energy working style suited to a fast-paced PE-backed environment
Experience in buy-and-build, post-merger integration or private equity environments would be advantageous, but is not essential.
The client is open to candidates currently in consulting as well as those who have already moved into industry.
They are also flexible on permanent versus interim for the right individual.
