Head of Corporate Sustainability (m/f/d) – Headquarters, Mannheim

Responsibilities

  • Drive and continuously evolve the group‑wide sustainability strategy
  • Ensure end‑to‑end implementation of the sustainability agenda across all group entities
  • Co‑ordinate the implementation of the relevant ESG regulations (e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, supply chain due diligence requirements) in close collaboration with the responsible stakeholders and monitor compliance
  • Develop governance, reporting, and control frameworks for Sustainability & ESG
  • Act as a key sparring partner to Executive Management and collaborate closely with functions such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, HR, Finance, and Compliance
  • Lead and develop a team of sustainability experts, fostering collaboration, expertise, and continuous improvement
  • Represent the company internally and externally on sustainability‑related topics

Profile

  • University degree in sustainability management, environmental sciences, economics, or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in sustainability, including proven leadership experience, ideally in an international or regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, sustainability compliance, and reporting standards
  • Experience in both strategic development and operational implementation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented working style
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
