After successful establishment of the Bank\’s European headquarters in Frankfurt a. M., Pictet & Cie (Europe) AG (BPAG) is strengthening its German Team with a Europe Data Protection Officer (f/m/d).
Corporate Functions includes the Groupâs non-banking activities and employs more than 600 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business units, and include Communications, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Organization & Digital, Risk and Tax departments.
Your role
- Provide support and expertise to Group information security, Tech&Ops, project managers and business on data protection and artificial intelligence related matters.
- Counsel and advise European entities of the Pictet Group in relation to personal data breaches and data subject requests, including notification or responses to relevant authorities or data subjects as necessary.
- Ensure and work closely with stakeholders on completing and evaluating impact assessments (such as DPIA, TIA, LIA or FRIA, etc).
- Review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements, other contracts, disclaimers and information notices related to data protection or artificial intelligence.
- Train and raise awareness around data protection, information security and artificial intelligence regulations.
- Report regularly to the boards, committees, department heads and Group DPO about data protection activities and artificial intelligence topics in Europe.
- Cooperate with and serve as the primary point of contact for supervisory authorities and data subjects in Europe.
- Foster and uphold a network of data protection relays across Europe and at Group level, working closely with other DPOs of the Group.
Your profile
- Hard skills
Excellent knowledge of the data protection, information security and artificial intelligence regulations.
Excellent knowledge of the EU banking and financial regulatory framework.
Excellent command of English, good German understanding, French is considered a plus. - Soft skills

Teamwork and collaboration. - Qualifications and experience
EU law degree (German or EU bar exam is a plus).
Professional certification (e.g. IAPP).
Min. 5-7 years experience in a law firm or a similar role, ideally in a financial institution.
