The Partner‑owned financial service group offers a comprehensive service for wealthy individuals and families including discretionary and advisory investment solutions and family office services.
You will build “investment partnerships” with CRMs and fellow ISs to deliver clients a unique investment experience aligned to their needs and geographical specificities.
You will also assist CRMs in their business development efforts by identifying and presenting the most suitable investment solutions available and activate non‑managed accounts.
Your role Communicating the investment platform’s strategy and solutions to CRMs, clients and prospects.
In conjunction with the CRMs, identify and develop new business opportunities from the existing client base as well as taking part in new marketing initiatives to help convert prospects to clients.
Help determine clients’ needs and prepare investment/advisory proposals and portfolio reviews.
Execute trade orders and confirm execution to clients, either directly or through assistants.
Develop, sell and retain discretionary mandates and seek to centralise their management.
Oversee ‘advisory‑type’ mandates, seeking to streamline positions and exposure and ensure they remain consistent with the bank’s overall investment strategy and policy.
Maintain a strong compliance culture, ensuring optimal compliance and risk management by adhering to all relevant local laws, regulatory requirements, in‑house directives and procedures.
Acquire the appropriate knowledge to apply these effectively and ensure fair treatment of all clients, while at the same time adhering to the mission and core values of Pictet across all activities conducted with a high degree of professional competency and awareness.
These entail: Full understanding of Pictet’s offering, policies and guidelines, attending relevant investment forums and presentations.
An ability to present and defend the investment philosophy and mandate/product offering.
Regular reviews of portfolios to monitor adherence to risk controls, compliance and client constraints.
Investment of cash positions, review of client transactions and corporate actions.
Full understanding of attribution of own portfolio performance.
Developing appropriate marketing material for client communication.
Knowledge of all available marketing documents and key resources within the Group.
Your profile Bachelor’s degree and a post‑graduate degree such as a Master’s, MBA, CIIA or CFA would be an advantage.
At least ten years’ investment advisory/management experience; client‑facing experience is a must.
Fluency in Russian, English is required.
French and Polish language skills are considered a plus in addition to the required languages.
Excellent technical knowledge across asset classes, investment vehicles and the mandate/product offering.
Excellent understanding of portfolio construction, investment processes and risk management approaches.
IT‑proficient, including knowledge of relevant software packages, on‑line information systems, front‑end management and order‑placing systems (Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe, Bloomberg, Avaloq, Profolio, etc.).
Strong client‑focused attitude and used to working under pressure.
Excellent presentation skills.
Proven team player but also able to work on one’s own.
Cross asset class experience with solid knowledge of fixed income (EM and DM), derivatives, equities, and structured products.
Solid understanding/experience in private equity and other alternative investments.
Experience and understanding of thematic equities would be a strong advantage.
Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
