Description:
- Lead and manage data migration projects from planning through execution.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies for migration work.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, IT teams, and stakeholders to define data requirements and migration scope.
- Oversee data validation, cleansing, and testing to ensure post-migration data integrity and accuracy.
- Coordinate resources and manage dependencies to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data governance policies throughout the migration process.
- Provide regular status updates, reports, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data migration methods and best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project management experience focused on data migration projects in financial services.
- Strong knowledge of data migration tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Understanding of financial systems, regulatory requirements, and data governance principles.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Proficiency with JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or Agile certifications are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
