DSP expert engineer

Pioneer is expanding and is setting up a new R&D center in Wetzlar, Germany to support our car entertainment business.

To strengthen our new engineering team, we are looking for a DSP expert engineer .

Your responsibilities:

– Develop software for high-performance digital signal processors from TI or ADI

– Evaluate and integrate 3rd party algorithms into the audio processing chain

– Optimize system performance using profiling

– Perform audio quality measurements

– Integrate audio processing chain with tuning tool

– Develop or adapt audio algorithms for upcoming use cases

– Debug performance problems with regards to latency, high CPU load or audio loss

– Design and implement DSP control interfaces using IPC

Required skills?

– At least 5 years of experience in developing on digital signal processors

– Excellent knowledge of C and C++

– Good knowledge of RTOS such as FreeRTOS, SysBIOS or VDK

– Expertise in optimizing algorithms for specific HW architectures (e.g. using intrinsics and/or assembler, profiling code, …)

– Good knowledge of basic audio processing algorithms based on IIR or FIR filters

– Experience in using GIT as code revisioning system

– Good English skills in speaking and writing

– Considered as a plus:

• Knowledge of using Matlab or Octave
• Having worked with Confluence and Jira
• German language
