We are adding a Data Analyst Assistant to our team to support a project for our partner, a leading German infrastructure group. This project is focused on taking a massive amount of operational data and maintenance records that currently live in scattered spreadsheets and moving them into a central, custom built management system. You will work closely with our developers to make sure the data is clean, consistent, and ready for use in the new tools we are building. This is a practical role centered on accuracy and organization rather than high level theory.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, fully remote software agency. We do not spend our time on flashy consumer apps or marketing sites that change every week. Instead, we solve boring but important problems for businesses. We build the admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations that keep operations running smoothly. Our clients come to us because they need their software to work, not just look good.
Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes for our work and we stay away from unnecessary complexity. We do weekly demos to show our progress and we hand over everything when we are done, including the code, clear documentation, and video walkthroughs. We use reliable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because they are stable and we want our work to last. We are a senior team that values clarity and working code over long meetings and abstract plans.
The role
In this role, you will be the bridge between the raw data provided by the client and the systems our developers are building. Since this involves a major infrastructure project, the data is detailed and requires careful handling. You will spend much of your time reviewing records for the German infrastructure group to identify duplicates, fix formatting errors, and map fields from old spreadsheets into new PostgreSQL tables. This is a fully remote position where you will manage your own tasks while staying in close contact with the team through daily check-ins.
You will also help create basic reports and visualizations that show the progress of the data migration. This might involve writing simple SQL queries or using internal tools to verify that the data has moved correctly. You will not be expected to architect complex systems from scratch, but you will be responsible for the integrity of the information that goes into them. It is satisfying work for someone who enjoys getting files organized and seeing a messy system become clean and functional.
What you bring
Working here means you are part of a small team where everyone is expected to contribute to the final product. We do not have layers of middle management. You will work directly with senior developers who can answer your questions and help you develop your skills in data management. We prioritize getting work done over appearing busy, and we respect the focus time required to do data work correctly. This is a permanent, full-time position that is paid, and the compensation is competitive for an entry-level role in the software and data sector.
Because we are a fully remote agency, we rely on written communication and clear tasks. You will have the freedom to set up your work environment in the way that suits you best. We provide the support and tools you need to do your job well, and we value the stability and consistency that a dedicated assistant brings to our client projects. If you like the idea of building tools that real people use to do their jobs, you will fit in well here.
At Pixel Systems, we take pride in the fact that we handle the difficult data work that others avoid. We are a team of professionals who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest industry trends. When you work with us, you are helping to build the backbone of business operations for groups like our German infrastructure partner. We value honesty, plain English, and software that simply works.
