Junior UI Developer

We are adding a Junior UI Developer to our team to help build internal interfaces for a major German logistics provider based in Munich.

This project involves moving away from cluttered spreadsheets and toward clean, functional dashboards that their operations teams use to track shipments and manage warehouse inventory.

Because we are a fully remote company, you will be working with a distributed team of developers and designers to create tools that solve real problems for people on the ground.

The goal is simple: build interfaces that make complex data easy to read and act upon.

The Role

As a Junior UI Developer, you will spend your time turning layouts and wireframes into working web interfaces.

This role is not about creating trendy animations or marketing slogans.

It is about making sure a warehouse manager can find a specific pallet number quickly or that an operations lead can see if a truck is running behind schedule at a glance.

You will work closely with our senior team to implement layouts in React, ensuring that the components are clean and that the data from our APIs displays correctly.

Your day-to-day work will involve

• Building and maintaining UI components using HTML, CSS, and React.
• Translating design files into functional, responsive web pages.
• Connecting frontend components to existing APIs to display live logistics data.
• Testing interfaces across different browsers to ensure they are stable and usable.
• Fixing bugs and making small layout adjustments based on client feedback during our weekly demos.
• Writing clear documentation so that our clients understand how to manage their new tools.
• Collaborating with the backend team to ensure data flows correctly to the user interface.

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who has a solid grasp of the basics.

You should understand how to structure a page using semantic HTML and how to style it effectively with CSS.

We value organization and the ability to follow a design guide closely.

Since this is a fully remote role, you must be a clear communicator in writing and comfortable using recorded videos to explain your work or ask questions.

We look for people who are okay with work that is functional rather than flashy and who appreciate the value of a clear, well-placed button over a complex visual effect.

Helpful Background

While this is an entry-level position, there are a few things that will help you get started:

• Basic familiarity with React or a similar Java Script framework from your studies or personal projects.
• An understanding of how to use Git and Git Hub for version control.
• A general curiosity about how data moves from a database to a web page.
• Experience with CSS frameworks or preprocessors.
• The ability to look at a complex set of requirements and break them down into smaller tasks.
