Scrum Master Intern

Scrum Master Intern

Pixel Systems
We are adding a Scrum Master Intern to our team to help us manage a project for a prominent German maritime logistics company. This client relies on us to build the internal systems that manage their shipping data and coordination tools. As an intern, you will assist our developers and designers in keeping their work organized and on schedule. We are a small, fully remote team, and this role is about helping us maintain our steady pace of shipping practical software without the usual corporate friction.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a remote software agency that focuses on building tools that teams actually use every day. We do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Our work usually involves things like admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients come to us when their current systems, often a collection of complex spreadsheets, can no longer handle their operations. We prefer a straightforward approach: we provide fixed quotes, perform weekly demos, and hand over clean code and clear documentation when we finish.
We are a senior team that values stable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres. We are not interested in chasing every new framework that comes along. Instead, we focus on solving real operational headaches for businesses. Working here means being part of a group that prioritizes working code over long meetings and complicated plans. Since we are a remote company, every role we offer is fully remote, allowing you to work from wherever you are most productive.
The role
In this role, you will be the person who helps the team stay focused. You will not be managing people, but you will be managing the process. Your day involves checking in with developers to see if they are stuck on any specific tasks related to our work with the maritime logistics client. You will help organize our task boards and ensure that the requirements for new features are clearly written down so the team can get straight to work.
You will also help facilitate our weekly demos. This means making sure the team is ready to show their progress to the client and capturing any feedback or changes requested during the call. Because we are a small agency, you will see exactly how a project moves from a list of requirements to a finished piece of software. It is a practical look at how software development works in a professional, remote setting.
What you bring
  • A high level of organization and a logical approach to solving problems.
  • The ability to communicate clearly in writing and during video calls.
  • A basic understanding of Agile concepts or a curiosity about how teams organize their work.
  • Comfort with asking questions when something is not clear.
  • The ability to summarize technical discussions into simple, actionable notes.
  • A preference for order and clarity over chaos and ambiguity.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • A focus on the details, ensuring that task descriptions are accurate and up to date.
Helpful background
While this is an internship, it is helpful if you have some familiarity with the tools we use to stay organized. We use GitHub to manage our code and basic project management tools to track our progress. If you have ever seen a Kanban board or helped organize a group project in school, that experience will translate well here. We do not expect you to be an expert in logistics, but an interest in how global shipping and data work together will make the maritime logistics project more engaging. This is a paid position, and we offer a competitive rate for the internship market.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working here is different from working at a large corporation. There are no layers of management to navigate. If you have a question, you can talk directly to the person who wrote the code or designed the layout. We value honesty and directness. If a deadline is unrealistic or a requirement is confusing, we say so. We ship work that helps real people, like warehouse managers and logistics coordinators, do their jobs more effectively. Our remote culture is built on trust and the understanding that everyone is here to do their best work without unnecessary drama.
We believe that even an internship should involve doing real work. You will not be making coffee or running errands. You will be helping us keep a major project for an international logistics firm on track. It is a chance to learn the practical side of project management in a professional software agency.
Pixel Systems is a small team by design. We like being able to move quickly and focus on the technical challenges our clients face. We look for people who are practical, reliable, and more interested in getting things done than in talking about getting things done. If you prefer a workplace that values clarity and results, you will likely enjoy working with us.
