Responsibilities

PJT Partners is exploring expansion in Munich and is actively seeking a Senior Analyst / Associate with strong analytical and writing capabilities, who takes initiative, has great attention to detail, works well under pressure, and has the ability to work both independently and within teams in a boutique advisory firm. The Advisory group is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including technology, media, telecommunications, energy, power & utilities, oil & gas, industrials, healthcare, consumer, financial services, and real estate.

Bankers within the Advisory group work directly with companies in evaluating, structuring, and recommending financial and strategic alternatives. They typically work on a wide variety of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, asset sales, restructurings, and divestitures. Senior Analysts / Associates are staffed directly on client-facing project teams and are expected to be involved in all aspects of a transaction, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and the negotiating of contracts and other agreements. The comparatively lean structure of this group offers professionals the unique opportunity to gain client exposure and work closely with senior members of the team, many of whom were previously group heads at leading bulge bracket investment banking firms.

Qualifications

PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:

1. Bachelor’s Degree
2. Minimum 2-4 years of directly comparable (investment banking) experience with particular focus on M&A
3. Strong background in finance/accounting
4. Strong analytical and quantitative skills
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Fluency in German
