About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Remote Telecommunications Technician to join their expanding support network. This position allows you to provide essential technical assistance and problem resolution for telecommunications infrastructure from the comfort of your own home office. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving a wide range of technical issues related to network connectivity, equipment, and services for customers. This is an ideal role for an experienced technician who thrives in a remote work environment and possesses excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, contributing to customer satisfaction and network reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for telecommunications hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve customer-reported problems via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Perform remote configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices and services.
- Document all technical issues, solutions, and customer interactions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex unresolved issues to senior technical staff or specialized teams.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential problems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with various telecommunications equipment and protocols (e.g., VoIP, fiber optics, cellular).
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with remote access tools and ticketing systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
