About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join their internal audit team in Soweto . This role is critical in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance across the organization. You will plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits, identify control weaknesses, and recommend improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and document financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with audit standards.
- Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate the adequacy of risk management processes across various business units.
- Develop clear, concise, and actionable audit findings and recommendations.
- Communicate audit results and recommendations to management and audit committees.
- Follow up on the implementation of agreed-upon recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Professional certification such as CIA, CA(SA), or CPA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal or external auditing within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques and audit software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
