About the Role Our client, a leading entity in the **telecoms** sector, is looking for a seasoned Senior Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee critical network infrastructure projects in the **Queenstown**, Eastern Cape region. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex telecommunications projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of diverse telecommunications projects, including network deployments, upgrades, and service rollouts. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams, including internal resources and external vendors. Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders. Ensure projects adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders. Manage project budgets and ensure financial targets are met. Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for future projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on telecommunications projects. Proven experience managing large-scale network infrastructure projects (e.g., fiber rollout, 4G/5G deployment, core network upgrades). Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, PRINCE2). PMP certification is highly desirable. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana). Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently. Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management. Experience working within the **telecoms** industry is essential.
