region. Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design of mechanical systems, equipment supports, and related structures using engineering principles and software. Conduct stress, strain, and fatigue analysis to ensure structural integrity and safety. Develop detailed design calculations, reports, and drawings for structural mechanical elements. Collaborate with civil/structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers to integrate designs. Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international structural codes and standards (e.g., SANS, AISC, ASME). Review contractor submittals and provide technical support during construction and installation phases. Investigate structural failures or performance issues and recommend solutions. Stay updated on advancements in structural analysis techniques and materials. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout project execution. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering with a strong mechanical focus. Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural analysis and design of mechanical systems or related infrastructure. Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ANSYS Mechanical). Strong understanding of mechanics of materials, structural dynamics, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Experience with relevant design codes and standards for structural and mechanical engineering. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) designation or eligibility is highly advantageous. Benefits
