The Opportunity

This position will lead in strengthening Project Management including the development of a strong project management culture globally with focus on the West and Central Africa programs. The role is part of the Global Hub Project and Funds team. It is a strategic, hands‑on role that works directly with Country Offices to strengthen project cycle management through assessments, training, and development of policies, procedures, and guidance that will strengthen how we deliver impactful programs that embed quality, consistency and innovation.

The Individual

This role engages strategically across functional and geographical boundaries across the organisation. Candidates must have demonstrable experience managing INGO programmes in the field at both strategic and operational levels, experience developing global procedures and guidance for INGO programme and project management, and have built capacities in project management through direct and remote support. Fluency in French is required. Candidates should be proactive, diligent, results‑focused, analytical, and possess strong problem‑solving, collaboration, networking and influence skills. Location & Travel

Location is flexible. The role can be based in any Plan International office where the applicant has the pre‑existing right to work and live. Remote/hybrid working is allowed, and some travel may be required.

Contract Details

Type: 2‑year fixed‑term contract.

Reports to: Head of Projects and Funds.
