Sub-Investigator - Hybrid in Lubeck, Germany

The Sub-Investigator is responsible for ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality clinical trial execution. Working closely with Principal Investigators and research teams, the Sub-I provides clinical oversight, supports study operations, and ensures accurate data collection throughout the clinical research process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support clinical trial activities in accordance with study protocols, GCP, ICH guidelines, and SOPs.
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure participant safety and protocol compliance.
• Mentor, train, and support clinical research staff.
• Manage study start-up, recruitment, patient visits, vendor coordination, data entry, query resolution, and study close-out activities.
• Evaluate and screen potential study participants.
• Report and manage adverse events, serious adverse events, and protocol deviations.
• Ensure accurate documentation, data integrity, and timely submission of regulatory documents.
• Develop recruitment, quality control, and risk mitigation strategies to support successful study delivery.
• Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice, including phlebotomy, ECGs, drug administration, lab processing, and other study-related activities.
• Collaborate effectively with sponsors, CROs, vendors, study participants, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active healthcare professional license, Medical Doctor or Physician
• 5+ years of clinical research or clinical management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
