About the Role

Here at Pleo, our customer base is growing rapidly! As a FinTech company, we handle money for our customers and face numerous security challenges. The DevSecOps role focuses on pipeline tooling and infrastructure/cloud hardening. We are looking for someone to improve this specialization and provide valuable insights.

Responsibilities

• Help our engineering teams build secure solutions by automating guardrails throughout our entire pipeline.
• Assist the team with various security subjects related to hardening our Kubernetes & AWS infrastructure.
• Work with our Platform team to create automated CI/CD around security checks.
• Contribute to projects related to security automation.
• Operationalize, rank, and manage our pipeline security roadmap.
• Participate in planning and executing projects related to our security objectives.
• Balance controls implementation against data classifications while providing tactful friction to meet company needs.

Your Profile

• Strong communication skills as a security engineer.
• Eager to discuss complex cloud security topics with technical colleagues.
• Pragmatic approach to security.
• Passionate about learning and tackling unfamiliar problem areas.
• Honest and direct in communication.

Required Skills

• Comfortable with at least one programming language (Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, Golang).
• Experience automating CI/CD pipeline security checks end-to-end.
• Solid experience in hardening, configuring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes and AWS environments.
• Understanding of cloud security principles and shared responsibility model.

Nice to Have Skills

• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with PCI DSS, GDPR, or PSD2 technical requirements.
