Senior Project Manager

Overview

We now wish to recruit a Senior Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager will be working as part of the office project management team and will have overall responsibility for the execution of projects, managing key site investment projects from concept through to handover.

Responsibilities

1. Safe execution of all phases of the project
2. Overall responsibility for technical/commercial delivery and execution of a task
3. Develop the Quality Plan (separate plan or include in Project Execution Plan (PEP) depending on scale and phase of project)
4. Set up and maintain the Project Compliance Tracker (PCT) for early notification of any significant project issues with potential compliance risk for PM Group
5. Review and understand commercial aspects of the project
6. Defining the scope of the project
7. Defining PM Group’s scope of work and how the project will be delivered within the available PM Group budget
8. Organize the File Index, Facilities, Kick-off Meetings, PEP
9. Develop a project execution strategy and agree same with the PM Project Team and the Customer
10. Monitor the effectiveness of the strategy and modify as necessary to accommodate changing circumstances throughout the life of the project
11. Develop construction/contracting strategy and implement
12. Implement construction/procurement/contracting strategy using PM Group Standard tools
13. Identify resource needs, timing and organize with resource owners
14. Coordinate the design between all disciplines including sub-contractors and site team
15. Prepare Project Monthly Internal Report (PMIR) for PM Group Management and ensure early notification of any significant project issues with potential commercial risk for PM Group
16. Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations
17. Identify and assess risk to project and to PM Group

Qualifications

1. Primary Honours/Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in Engineering/Construction/Science or related Discipline
2. A minimum of 7 years relevant experience
3. Fluent German and English
4. Good commercial awareness and business acumen required
5. Good understanding of all disciplines

6. A forward planner who identifies and resolves project issues
7. Critically assesses own performance and performance of others
8. Proven experience in multiple project delivery
