What does this role entail?
As a Solutions Engineer you play a critical role in establishing technical confidence and credibility of Pointsharp’s solutions with our prospective customers, leveraging your technical expertise, experience, and problem-solving skills. You work closely with the sales team and channel partners to achieve the commercial objectives of the organisation. You will represent Pointsharp with a strong customer-oriented attitude.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- You establish yourself as a subject matter expert for Pointsharp solutions.
- You build strong relationships with customers and establish technical credibility.
- You will actively work with marketing and product management to improve product capabilities and messaging in relation to evolving market needs.
- Represent the company at workshops, industry events and trade fairs.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and detect opportunities to cross-sell Pointsharp’s solutions.
- Act as advisor to customer CxO in matters relating to Identity & Security.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have
- 3 or more years of experience in a customer facing technical role, such as sales/solutions engineer or pre-sales.
- Extensive knowledge of Identity & Access management principles and technologies.
- Knowledge of common authentication protocols such as Radius, SAML, FIDO, etc.
- Knowledge of security regulations such as PSD2, GDPR, NIS2, etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English, both in written and oral business.
- Ability to work in a matrix organisation.
- Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
- Willing to work as part of a geographically & culturally diverse team.
- A willingness to travel of probably 20-40%.
- While not required, any professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, etc. is highly regarded.
