The opportunity

We’re currently looking for a Planning & Order Manager to join our Polestar Switzerland team in the Zurich office. Someone with a passion for electric mobility, an interest in technology, and a desire to create the change we know is needed.

The responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Operations and Business Development you will cover sales forecasting, order tracking, delivery planning, registrations as well as the various internal fleets. You will focus the OTD strategy to ensure that foremost the Polestar customers are delivered their cars in an efficient and premium manner. It will require someone who can manage multiple high-level stakeholders, both internal and external as Planning & Order is integral to the success of Polestar Switzerland.

  • Monitoring and report on order bank, creating delivery forecasting models and subsequent targets towards local and headquarter teams
  • Reviewing and managing third party logistics providers
  • Placing stock orders, reporting on stock situation, and managing order matching
  • Ensuring data within the factory order system (VISTA) is accurate and supports dashboard reports, highlighting any discrepancies between systems to central teams
  • Troubleshooting any problems within the OTD (Order To Delivery) journey and escalating where necessary
  • Planning and overseeing requirements for the homologation, import and registration of vehicles

The ideal candidate

In order to succeed in this role, and at Polestar in general, there are a few characteristics you’ll need to have. Tenacity. Flexibility. Curiosity. The ability to take the initiative, to meet deadlines and requirements, and to abandon ideas when they’re not feasible. Since Polestar’s in a scale up phase you thrive by working in a fast-paced environment. You will possess a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent time management and the ability to balance multiple tasks, and switch priority / focus as needed.

In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication in German and preferably French and English
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
