Role Description The Head of Robotics is a full-time, on-site role based in Zurich, responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of PREEN’s robotic and AI-driven car wash platforms. This position oversees multidisciplinary engineering teams, sets technical direction for robotics and control systems, and ensures integration with AI vision, safety, and power systems. Daily responsibilities include managing project roadmaps, reviewing designs and prototypes, coordinating testing and validation, and driving continuous improvements in reliability, performance, and customer experience. The Head of Robotics collaborates closely with product, operations, and customer success teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and supports strategic decisions related to scalability, manufacturing, and global deployment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and applied Electricity principles relevant to industrial automation and robotic systems.
Hands-on expertise in Robotics, including system architecture, control algorithms, sensing, and integration with AI vision platforms.
Experience with Power Systems for high-duty-cycle equipment, including safety standards, energy efficiency, and reliability in industrial environments.
Proven Team Management skills, with experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and mentoring technical talent.
Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
Background in industrial automation, automotive systems, or similar high-reliability hardware products is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Zurich and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and operations functions.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
