Manager / Senior Manager - Cloud Architect in Zürich

Your Impact

• Lead and collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-impact cloud transformation projects and engage with senior stakeholders from prestigious clients in industries such as Technology, Financial Services, Retail & Consumer, Healthcare, and Government Services.

• Enable clients to achieve digital innovation by designing and implementing comprehensive, end-to-end cloud architectures that incorporate the latest technological advancements, including AI/GenAI platforms, data & analytics, event-driven architectures, containerisation (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Lead and support the architectural design and implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, compliance, cost- efficiency and sustainability.

• Define and evolve target operating models, cloud landing zones, and reference architectures, and establish architecture governance and best practices across enterprise-wide cloud programmes.

• Communicate complex architectural concepts and technical information effectively to facilitate stakeholder decision-making.

• Challenge the status quo, proactively seek necessary information, comprehend the challenges presented, and communicate ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.

• Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, client pitches, thought leadership, and the growth of the Cloud practice within PwC Switzerland and across the global network.

• Apply and continually expand knowledge of best practices in cloud-native technology, cloud architecture, engineering methodologies, and consulting strategies.

Your Skill Set

• Hold a degree (bachelor / master / diploma) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.

• Possess 5+ years of work experience focusing on cloud architecture, cloud engineering, or platform solutions. Consulting experience is advantageous.

• Demonstrate a proven track record in designing, implementing, and delivering complex, end-to-end cloud architecture or solutions for internal or external clients. Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving abilities, and proficient in technology.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure is a must, including designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones (Cloud Adoption Framework), AKS, Azure Networking, Entra ID, and AI services such as Azure OpenAI. Additional experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud is considered a plus.

• Certified in cloud architecture for one or more platforms, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect. Additional certifications (e.g. TOGAF, CKA, security or AI specialisations) are a plus.

• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, proactive and enthusiastic about delivering value to clients.

• You are fluent in English (German is a big plus) and are willing to travel within Switzerland, and occasionally also internationally
