Our client provides gas analysis and quality assurance services to the semiconductor industry, and is expanding its site team at a major semiconductor fab in Dresden, Germany. The Analytical QA/QC Lead will take ownership of the integrity and quality of Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas lines feeding installed tools, leading a team of analytical testers and acting as the primary quality point of contact with the customer on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of analytical testers, planning and overseeing day-to-day testing activity on site.
- Own the relationship and communication with the customer and project stakeholders.
- Understand and apply the client's piping and fitting specifications.
- Perform quality walks and report on issues found.
- Inspect welding coupons and witness pressure testing activities.
- Carry out Helium leak checking on UHP gas lines to specification, and build a working understanding of potential leak causes to isolate integrity failures.
- Carry out Trace Oxygen and Trace Moisture measurements using high-end analytical equipment, and diagnose root causes of equipment or process failures.
- Complete particulate count measurements on process gas utility lines to confirm compliance post-fabrication.
- Liaise with site operations on completion of existing tools and preparation of analysis for new tools.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant testing standards and analysis methods.
- Help identify barriers and root causes behind quality issues and performance gaps.
- Maintain and update customer- and company-facing reporting documentation.
- Comply with standard operating procedures and site policies.
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years' experience in analytical testing / QA-QC, gained across multiple projects for semiconductor customers.
- Proven experience leading a team.
- Confident, comfortable operator in direct customer conversations — able to represent the project professionally to the client.
- Background in mechanical trade, pipe fitting and UHP welding is strongly preferred.
- Punctual, organised self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail; keeps a tidy, safe work area.
