Junior / Middle Financial Manager (m/w/d)

Prime Elements GmbH is a Berlin-based commodity trading firm specializing in oil products, petrochemicals and sustainable feedstocks. We combine traditional trading expertise with modern digital solutions, working across Europe, North America, and Asia.

We are looking for a Junior / Middle Financial Manager (m/w/d) to join our growing team and help us shape and manage our company’s financial processes — from accounting and controlling to trade finance and treasury.

Accounting

• Communicate with our external tax advisor (Steuerberater) and provide primary financial documentation.
• Manage the flow of source documents into DATEV Unternehmen Online and our internal ERP system.

Internal Management Accounting / Controlling

• Maintain and monitor internal management accounting reports.
• Ensure accuracy of data in the ERP system and prepare monthly internal reports.
• Maintain cash flow by reviewing banking activity and reconciling statements.
• Analyze costs, pricing, sales results, and company performance against business plans.

Treasury and Institutional Relations

• Communicate with banks and financial institutions.
• Assist with fund-raising and working capital optimization (loans, credit lines, factoring).
• Prepare financial documentation and responses for lenders and investors.

Trade Finance

• Support documentary operations (letters of credit, collections, etc.).
• Prepare document sets and coordinate with banks for trade-related transactions.

Ad-hoc Finance Projects

• Support management in finance-related decisions, analysis, and reporting.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Fluent in English and Russian, German is a strong plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statistics.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with DATEV, ERP systems (1C is a plus), or trade finance processes is an advantage.
