Who You Are
You are an experienced fire protection engineer with a proven ability to deliver high-quality design and lead projects. You have a bachelor’s degree in fire protection, mechanical, or architectural engineering and six to ten years of fire protection design experience.
A PE license is strongly preferred (or you are actively working toward licensure if not already obtained).
You know buildings deeply. You have advanced knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and loss prevention practices, and you apply that knowledge to solve complex design challenges across a variety of project types.
You are highly proficient with relevant engineering tools. You are comfortable working independently in AutoCAD and Revit and are experienced in producing and reviewing design deliverables.
You're a strong communicator and collaborator. You take ownership of your work, guide others, and contribute to a positive team environment.
What You’ll Do
You’ll lead fire protection engineering design efforts. You’ll independently prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and system layouts, including equipment schedules, pipe sizing, and pump sizing.
You’ll own project delivery. You’ll lead or support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring technical accuracy, coordination, and adherence to schedule and budget.
You’ll review and mentor. You’ll review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide guidance to junior engineers to support their development.
You’ll engage in the field. You’ll perform site visits, system evaluations, and construction observations, and provide solutions to field-related challenges.
You’ll maintain and elevate quality. You’ll ensure proper documentation, QA/QC practices, and code compliance across all project deliverables.
You’ll build relationships. You’ll communicate directly with clients, represent the firm in meetings, and help foster long-term partnerships.

Starting salary is between $90,000 – $110,000 based on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants based on relevant years of experience.
