What are my responsibilities? Our department manages the execution of projects in the fields of ECO Solutions and Converter Steelmaking. We deliver excellent project management and take full ownership of projects - from contract award to project completion - with a strong focus on maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction. Our ECO Solutions portfolio provides technologies and services to reduce emissions across iron and steel production while improving energy efficiency. In Converter Steelmaking, we cover LD (BOF) and AOD converter plants, as well as the innovative SMELTER technology for significantly lower carbon emissions. As sustainable steel production becomes increasingly important, we are strengthening our team I&S PM ECO&CS (ECO Solutions & Converter Steelmaking) with a Project Manager to lead these projects with the following tasks:

You have full responsibility for the successful implementation of your projects.

You manage the project within the defined financial, quality and scheduletargets.

You identify additional opportunities within ongoing projects. You negotiate with stakeholders on change requests and incorporate them into contracts.

You manage the project risks by identifying and assessing all risk factors using available risk assessment tools.

You continuously monitor the project status, identify discrepancies at an early stage, and initiate mitigation measures where necessary.

You work closely with your team, define targets, and delegate responsibilities and authority.

You ensure compliance with valid regulations, rules and standards.

You ensure efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders.

You drive the project closure and ensure that all relevant information is filedand available for future projects.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

5+ years management experience of complex construction and plant building projects

Advanced knowledge of engineering and business-unit-related technologies to understand technical implications

Advanced knowledge of project management methods and tools, as well as knowledge of contract law and regulations relevant to project business.

Work experience in international teams

Willingness to travel and site assignments

Advanced knowledge in English and German

Social Skills

Proactive, solution-oriented attitude

High integrity in dealing with others

Quality oriented and structured work approach

Strong leadership and communication skills

What else do I need to know? The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 53.241,02 (F/00) bzw. EUR 62.243,30 (G/00). This could rise considerably, depending on qualifications and experience. Our Pioneers at Heart receive ongoing training in a wide range of areas through the “Metals Academy”.
