Financial Controller

Position: Controller (Future Head of Controlling)

Location: Donauwörth

Reports to: CFO

Key Responsibilities

• Support the CFO with strategic and operational financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Drive the development and implementation of internal controlling structures and processes.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, KPIs, and variance analyses across multiple business units.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and department heads to ensure financial transparency and performance tracking.
• Develop profitability analyses and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Support ongoing digitalisation and automation efforts in finance.
• Take ownership of annual planning and mid-term financial modelling.
• Prepare board-level presentations and contribute to the refinement of financial strategy.
• Act as deputy to the current Head of Controlling, gradually assuming leadership responsibilities.

Profile

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Controlling, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in controlling, ideally in a project-oriented or service-based environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a hands-on, pragmatic attitude.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent German and business-level English.
• Leadership potential and the ambition to grow into a Head of Controlling role.
