Looking for a - PRIVATE ALPINE SKI COACH
A privately operated alpine ski racing program representing a small nation is seeking an experienced Private Alpine Ski Coach to take full responsibility for the sporting and technical development of one individual athlete. This is a highly individual position. The coach will be dedicated exclusively to the athlete and will provide continuous, personalized support throughout training, preparation and international competition. The position is suited to a highly experienced and committed coach with a strong background in competitive alpine skiing and previous coaching experience at FIS, Europa Cup or World Cup level. Key Responsibilities
Full and individualized coaching responsibility for one athlete Planning and conducting professional alpine ski training throughout the season Individual technical, tactical and performance development On-hill coaching during training camps and race periods Race preparation, course inspection support and performance analysis Video analysis and continuous technical feedback Planning and coordination of training blocks, camps and the competition schedule Travel with and continuous support of the athlete at training camps and international races Organization and coordination of suitable training environments and opportunities Cooperation with other professional teams, coaches and training groups where beneficial Equipment and ski setup support where required, including preparation, tuning and testing Long-term planning of the athlete’s sporting development and performance strategy Candidate Profile
We are looking for a coach with: Several years of professional coaching experience in competitive Alpine Ski Racing Proven experience within FIS racing, ideally including Europa Cup or World Cup level High-level national or international alpine ski coaching certification, or equivalent professional qualification Excellent technical understanding of modern alpine ski racing across the relevant disciplines Strong knowledge of race preparation, training methodology, course setting and athlete development An established international network within competitive alpine skiing is highly desirable Good relationships with other national teams, private teams, coaches and training groups are considered a significant advantage Ability to organize and facilitate joint training opportunities and cooperation with other high-level teams Experience with ski preparation, equipment setup and testing is considered a strong advantage Ability and willingness to travel extensively internationally throughout the training and racing season High level of flexibility and availability Professional, discreet and reliable working style Ability to work independently and take responsibility for an individual athlete’s program Strong communication skills in German or English ; additional languages are an advantage The Position
This is a dedicated private coaching position for one athlete, rather than a conventional team coaching role. The successful candidate will work closely and directly with the athlete and will be responsible for creating and managing an individualized, high-performance training and racing environment. As the program operates independently, the ability to maintain strong relationships within the international ski racing community and to coordinate training opportunities with other professional teams and training groups will be particularly valuable. The coach should be comfortable operating in a flexible, confidential and performance-driven private environment and taking a high degree of personal responsibility for the athlete’s development.
