Material Science Engineer

Our customer is a leading multinational engineering materials producer and a highly integrated solution provider committed to the sustainable future of polyamides. We are looking to hire in their Application Center located in Leuna, Germany, a:

Material Science Engineer

Reporting to the head of the Knowledge & Data team, your mission will be to accelerate the homologation and technical validation processes for OEMs, acting as a key interface between internal teams, laboratories and OEMs. You will be responsible for managing requirements related to technical data, analyzing existing information, proposing alternative solutions and avoiding unnecessary generation of new data.

Responsibilities include:

• Definition of test programs in collaboration with internal laboratories.
• Communication with OEMs to optimize the use of existing data.
• Data consolidation and analysis
• Identification of technical gaps and proposal of innovative solutions.
• Coordination with technical sales teams, KAMs and laboratories.
• Development and implementation of tools to facilitate access to critical data.

We are searching for someone with experience in materials science, technical validation and complex data management, ideally in OEM or automotive environment. Analytical skills, detail orientation and strategic vision are key. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of polymers and thermoplastic materials. Fluency in English and German are a must.
