Your Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for expanding existing customer relationships, acquiring new projects, and developing customer‑focused solutions in the area of replacement parts. In this role, you will primarily support customers on‑site as part of your field service duties, prepare customised quotes, and ensure the sustainable and cost‑effective growth of the after‑sales business.
Location: Norderstedt, with regular business travel (approx. 70%)
Organizational Structure: This position is part of the After‑Sales division.
International Connections: Due to the global structure of our corporate group, you will regularly coordinate with international locations and customers and occasionally work on projects in intercultural teams.
Your Tasks:
- Selling replacement parts to customers on‑site, in‑house, and over the phone
Generating business opportunities for condition assessments, retrofits, upgrades, and other services. - Advising our customers on optimising existing equipment and systems, including the development of customer‑oriented solutions.
- Responsibility for maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships, as well as actively acquiring new customers and projects.
- Preparing and tracking quotes, from analysing existing equipment through cost estimation and contract negotiations to closing the deal.
- Reviewing bid documents and specifications in accordance with customer‑specific standards and coordinating with internal departments to develop suitable solutions.
- Participation in the financial management of projects, including cost control, change order management, revenue forecasting, and support for the further development of the after‑sales portfolio.
- Support in optimising sales processes and handling organisational tasks.
- Order entry and internal order handoff.
Your Profile:
- A successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical education with relevant continuing education, e.g., as a state‑certified technician
- Several years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in an international setting
- Strong technical understanding and business acumen
- Strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and a confident demeanour when interacting directly with customers
- High level of initiative, as well as an independent and solution‑oriented approach to work
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Willingness to travel regularly for work, both domestically and internationally (approx. 70%)
