Our client is an established European manufacturer of high-quality gantry milling machines, serving customers across Germany. Its machines are used by leading companies across automotive, energy, aerospace and dual-use industries.
To strengthen the German service team, we are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician (m/f/d) with a strong electrical/electronic or electromechanical background and hands-on experience with CNC milling / turning machines.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide technical service and support at customer sites across Germany
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic faults on gantry milling machines
- Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs
- Support machine installations and commissioning
- Carry out structured fault analysis and ensure machines are fully operational before handover to the customer
- Work independently on service assignments or together with another technician for larger interventions
- Communicate directly with customers and provide professional technical support on site
Requirements
Your Profile
- Completed technical vocational training, ideally as an electrician, electronics / mechatronics / electromechanical technician, or comparable qualification
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant hands-on field service experience
- Practical experience with CNC milling or turning machines; experience with portal/gantry milling machines is an advantage
- Good knowledge of Siemens and/or Heidenhain controls – iTNC 530, TNC 640 or TNC7 experience is highly desirable
- Strong electrical/electronic/electromechanical troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to fault finding
- Comfortable working independently and dealing directly with customers
- Friendly, reliable, calm and solution-oriented personality
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Germany during the working week
- Fluency in either German or English; knowledge of both is an advantage
