Pro Fleet Group is currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer for an immediate start on a major pharmaceutical and high‑tech engineering project in Dresden, Germany.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding engineering contractor delivering complex mechanical installations on one of Europe’s leading industrial projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all client and statutory requirements, and supporting the safe execution of works on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
- Conduct daily site inspections, audits and safety observations.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS, permits and project procedures.
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and non‑conformances, producing detailed reports and corrective actions.
- Liaise directly with the client, principal contractor and Pro Fleet management team on all HSE matters.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and intervene where unsafe practices are identified.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, inspections and compliance records.
- Support emergency response procedures and site safety initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement and foster a proactive safety culture across the project.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Officer on industrial construction projects.
- Previous experience within Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Data Centre or Heavy Industrial environments.
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction, Diploma or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of European Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Confident engaging with clients, management and site personnel.
- Full EU driving licence preferred.
- EU Passport or legal right to work within the European Union.
