MV/HV Commissioning Engineer (Offshore Wind) (m/f/d)
We are seeking experienced MV/HV Commissioning Engineers to join the Commissioning Management team for offshore wind projects. You will play a key role in delivering commissioning activities for substations and wind turbines, ensuring compliance with Client HV Safety Rules and project timelines.

Working Hours: 12 hours/day, 84 hours/week (14 days on / 14 days off)
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Client\'s Engineer, driving commissioning activities on-site to meet project schedules.
- Witness and sign off Stage 1 & Stage 2 commissioning for substations and wind turbines.
- Perform switching operations (66 kV - 155 kV) at offshore substations, export cables, and wind turbines.
- Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including permit requests and approvals.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on offshore HV equipment.
- Prepare switching plans and HV switching schedules.
- Ensure accurate \"As Built\" drawings and commissioning records from contractors.
- Provide technical support to Senior Authorised Persons and M&E Engineers.
- Liaise with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve outstanding issues.
- Weekly reporting on progress and issues to the Client Commissioning Manager.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Relevant technical education (Electrical Engineering Degree/HNC or equivalent).
- Certified according to VDE 0105-100 as Switching Operator (Schaltberechtigter) or eligible for certification.
- GWO Basic Safety Training
- GWO Enhanced First Aid Training (Ersthelfer Offshore DGUV)
- Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
- Offshore medical fitness certificate
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as Electrical Commissioning Engineer on MV/HV assets.
- Knowledge of commissioning LV/MV/HV switchgear and associated components.
- Familiarity with Siemens/GE protection relays and IEC61850/Goose communications (desirable).
- Experience with SCADA systems and BMS systems (desirable).
- Strong understanding of HV Safety Rules.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Working Conditions
- Offshore rotation: 14 days on / 14 days off.
- Based primarily on Jack‑Up or Commissioning Vessel after installation; limited onshore work before load‑out.
