We are looking for you! We offer a full-time position (40h/week) in one of our locations in either Heidelberg, Berlin, Leipzig or Munich . The offer includes the option of working several days per week in the mobile office. Software Engineer – DevOps Focus (m/f/d)

Your Mission

• Help us maintain and further develop our technology stack, mostly written in .NET, with clean and well-documented code.
• Care about the deployment lifecycle of the application with automation to build, test, and deploy with Jenkins.
• Lead the effort and develop best practices to modernize and containerize applications; be comfortable with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Ensure the health and performance of the applications with our Elasticsearch observability stack.
• Elevate the team by providing technical guidance and support for DevOps practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the Internal Engineering community of Verivox by participating in our cross-functional groups.
• Contribute to code quality and implement engineering best practices.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities by mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate actively in team-building activities and support conflict moderation and resolution.
• Engage in people development activities, including professional growth, training, and performance reviews.

Your Essential Experience and Education

• A university degree in a relevant field of study (computer science, engineering, sciences, or a comparable qualification).
• Several years of experience in automating deployments, testing, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, IaC, and Jenkins.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
• Proven leadership potential, demonstrated through proactive problem-solving, effective collaboration, and a commitment to team success.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, with German as a plus.
