Position Summary:

Proteintech is looking for a talented and passionate Business Development Lead (Europe) to join our dynamic team. You will have a proven track record in initiating new long-term partnerships with biopharma clients and developing high-value opportunities on a regular basis, including reagent out-licensing and co-marketing agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Actively find new leads, maintaining a strong focus on identifying, initiating, and nurturing potential clients.
  • Client Meetings: Conduct virtual and in-person customer meetings to understand their needs and communicate our unique value proposition.
  • Pipeline Management: Own the process from lead through to completion, ensuring an exceptional client experience by working collaboratively with internal resources.
  • Maintain Relationships: Engage regularly with prospects virtually and in person to build relationships and close deals.
  • Conference Attendance: Represent our services at relevant industry events, fostering relationships and driving brand visibility.
  • Contract Management: Organize and review applicable agreements pertaining to partnership.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • 10+ years of previous experience in a similar business development role in the life sciences market.
  • The candidate must possess an extensive network of prospective Biopharma contacts that are relevant to the Proteintech portfolio.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of commercial contract terms and negotiation including reagent out-licensing, co-marketing and partnership structures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, managing the sales process through close, and handling all aspects of contract negotiations.

Travel Requirement:

You will be expected to travel extensively throughout Europe for this role.
