The Mandate

You will step into a specialist team of five, taking immediate ownership of high-availability, customer-facing systems. Your daily reality will be the orchestration of complex architectures, not the babysitting of broken legacy systems.

  • Command the Virtual Realm: Drive the operation, maintenance, and relentless optimisation of high-availability environments, with a razor-sharp focus on Citrix.
  • Master the Microsoft Landscape: Administer, refine, and secure Windows Server architectures (2016–2022).
  • Application Orchestration: Manage critical Microsoft applications, including Exchange (ideally clustered) and MS SQL.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate seamlessly across Managed Hosting, Network, and Data Centre teams in an agile, fluid setup that rejects rigid, restrictive frameworks.

  • The Experience: At least 3+ years in a stringent IT operations or systems engineering role (or 5+ years if transitioning from a broader IT background).
  • The Technical Pedigree: Deep, hands-on expertise with Citrix and high-availability virtualisation, coupled with admin-level dominance over Windows Server and Microsoft ecosystems.
  • The Foundation: A completed IT-related vocational training programme as an absolute minimum (a university degree in tech or sciences is a brilliant bonus).
  • The Linguistic Edge: Absolute fluency in German (C1 is non-negotiable) and a strong command of English (B2).
  • The Persona: You must be diplomatic yet resolute. You are comfortable collaborating with senior Citrix specialists, highly communicative, and fiercely proactive.

Bonus points if you bring familiarity with automation (Ansible, SCCM, PowerShell) and holding formal Citrix certifications will certainly turn our heads.
