Frontend Engineer (Proton Meet - Encrypted video app)

Meet Team As a Frontend Engineer in the Meet team, you will play a key role in building intuitive, performant, and secure user experiences for Proton’s encrypted video call platform. Responsibilities You will be responsible for developing and maintaining user-facing features, ensuring seamless interactions, responsiveness, and high‑quality UI across devices. Working closely with backend, design, and other teams, you will help deliver features that are reliable and user‑centric. You will advocate for clean, maintainable code and strong frontend architecture while balancing performance, accessibility, and rapid feature delivery to provide the best experience for our users. Tech Stack and Tools React and Rust for the frontend PHP/Symfony for the backend API All client code is open‑source under GPL3 Migration to Kubernetes infrastructure On‑premise deployment in Proton’s data‑centers Project management with Jira and Confluence What you will do We believe in small empowered teams that focus on delivering large impact.
