Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as focal point with Customer and third parties for the supervision of the pre-lay activities related to the power cable system.
- Act as interface between Customer, Civil works contractors and Cable laying subcontractors for planning of the activities, for the check of civil works execution and for check of the infrastructures.
- Supervise laying operation performed by subcontractors.
- Keep a record diary of the activities on site, managing the execution of the subcontractors in respect of the plan submitted and the contract requirements.
- Supervise the backfilling operation realized by third party company in terms of timing, quality and cable protection.
- Site supervision taking care of resources (personnel and assets), technical aspects, logistic and HSE management on site.
- Enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures during the entire process.
- Support the preparation of the method statements and other documentation necessary to carry out the works on site in cooperation with and under the supervision of Installation Engineering.
Qualifications & Experience
- Preferably 2-3 years of proven experience in a construction site context.
- Knowledge of technical aspects and experience in installation activities on land sites, preferably in the cable industry.
- Knowledge of technical documentation related to land installation activities.
- Knowledge of drawings and basic design of cable and accessories is considered a plus.
- Leadership attitude and capability to guide a team to reach a pre-set target.
- Good communication skills and relationship approach with Clients and subcontractors.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, target orientation, with an attitude to manage properly priorities in coordination with Management.
- Attitude to fast learning and self-commitment.
- Knowledge and familiarity with all basic and common software tools like Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Internet use.
- English and preferably German, written and spoken.
- Availability for frequent trips, domestic and abroad.
- Willingness to spend long periods abroad on site (approx. 60-70% per year).
- Program flexibility.
- Driving license.
