Overview
PTC is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented sales professional to lead strategic initiatives within the German automotive vertical. This role offers the opportunity to shape digital transformation and innovation in the automotive sector, leveraging PTC’s market-leading solutions for Software Defined Vehicles, including PLM, ALM, CAD, SLM, IoT, and AR technologies. The position involves identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing relationships, and building long-term partnerships. By uncovering potential and guiding customers on their digital transformation journey, you will play a pivotal role in delivering value. Reporting directly to the Sales Regional Director, this role requires ownership, resilience, and a results-driven approach in a collaborative and matrixed environment.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Management: Foster high-value customer relationships and create a business roadmap aligned with customer goals.
- New Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities within the assigned automotive account group, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Expanding Existing Business: Deepen relationships and drive revenue growth by understanding customer challenges and providing tailored solutions.
- Business Planning: Develop mid- and long-term business strategies, capitalizing on current opportunities while planning new initiatives aligned with core solutions.
- Ecosystem Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners, including resellers and system integrators, to deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
- Forecasting and Strategy: Accurately predict sales performance and contribute to strategic account plans that align customer objectives with PTC’s goals.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proven success in sales, with a focus on hunting for new business and growing established relationships in the enterprise segment.
- Strong understanding of the Automotive or Mobility industries is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional ability to communicate PTC’s value propositions in the context of real-world business challenges.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset, with excellent planning and execution skills.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English and German.
- Approximately 5 years of software sales or solution selling experience, in a quota-carrying role.
