This role offers a unique opportunity to act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, including CIOs and CTOs, in leading automotive, mobility, and transportation companies.
Your mission will be to bridge the gap between business and IT, delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions that redefine industry standards. You will lead technical design, planning, and delivery while driving best practices and fostering the growth of our engineering talent. As a thought leader, you will help shape the future of digital and mobile technology solutions for our clients and within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level clients, translating complex technical concepts into strategic business value.
2. Technical Leadership: Lead the design, planning, and delivery of cutting-edge digital solutions, ensuring high-quality, rapid software development.
3. Innovation: Develop and promote new technology propositions, particularly in areas like connected car platforms, marketing, data analytics, and software platform development.
4. Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and grow a team of junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
5. Quality Assurance: Oversee the delivery and quality of all engineering work, ensuring projects are set up for success and run efficiently.
6. Thought Leadership: Contribute to the industry through speaking engagements, publications, and by driving the adoption of modern architectural patterns and engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

Your skills and experience

1. Technical Expertise: We are looking for a seasoned engineering lead and technology consultant with broad expertise in enterprise-level tech stacks related to e-commerce, content management (including headless solutions), marketing, and CRM, along with the latest AI developments.
2. Industry Experience: Proven track record in the automotive, mobility, and transportation sectors.
3. Consulting Skills: Exceptional consulting, presentation, and advisory abilities with a knack for solving complex technical problems.
4. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, German is a plus.
5. Team Leadership: Experience leading large, globally distributed engineering teams.
6. Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns and engineering disciplines to maximize delivery velocity.
7. External Presence: Contributions to open source, speaking at meet-ups and conferences, and authoring books or articles are highly desirable.
