Are you a highly motivated System Administrator fluent in German? EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our dynamic team driving complex enterprise projects.
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of servers, operating systems and network components;
- Ensuring the availability, performance and security of the IT infrastructure;
- Administration of user accounts and authorisations;
- Monitoring and maintenance of the systems as well as performance of regular backups;
- Error analysis and troubleshooting in the IT infrastructure;
- Documentation of the system configurations and processes;
- Support in the implementation of new hardware and software;
- Analysis and assessment of security risks and threats;
- Anticipation and early identification of problems;
- Derivation, formulation and implementation of problem-solving strategies;
- Target-group-appropriate communication and explanation of problems and their effects to the Client;
- Implementation of suitable measures taking into account functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. high availability of the system) as well as extensive quality assurance;
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies;
- In-depth knowledge of the administration of servers and operating systems (Linux);
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and services (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP);
- In-depth knowledge of cryptographic procedures and the use of digital signatures and certificates;
- In-depth knowledge of network security, encryption and access controls;
- In-depth knowledge of virtualised environments and cloud services;
- In-depth knowledge of IT security and data protection;
- In-depth knowledge of monitoring and backup tools;
- In-depth knowledge of the set-up and handling of distributed systems (incl. geo-redundancy);
- In-depth knowledge of configuring and monitoring distributed systems both on application servers and in cloud-based environments;
- At least 3 years of demonstrable practical experience;
- Based in Germany;
- Fluent command of oral and written German (level C2 required) and English at a sufficient level;
