Are you the person we\’re looking for?
As a Field Application Engineer, you will work directly with automotive customers as a technical account owner to drive revenue by promoting QNX software and services within the European Sales team. You will serve as a key technical resource, working in pre- and post-sales capacities, managing customer relationships, advising on design decisions, and representing QNX at regional events, trade shows, and webinars.

In this role, you will:
- Act as the face of the company, liaising between customers and QNX R&D, Engineering Services, and Product Management departments.
- Provide technical expertise on QNX solutions to customers and prospects, both pre- and post-sales.
- Support the sales team with technical and consultative assistance, including analyzing customer requirements and offering feasibility assessments.
- Manage customer technical requirements from development through to commercial release.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customer technical staff to encourage new projects and upgrades.
- Deliver pre-sales software development demos, benchmarking, and initial environment setup; participate in customer-specific development as needed.
- Prepare and present technical material to customers onsite or virtually, and represent BlackBerry Technology Solutions / QNX at trade shows, speaking engagements, and webinars.
- Develop and maintain a competitive intelligence knowledge base and advise marketing and sales on technical requirements to improve customer experience.
You will have:
- Experience interfacing between customers and engineering teams.
- Software development, design, and architecture experience, especially in embedded systems, real-time programming, or low-level programming with C, Assembly, or C++.
- Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in Linux development environments.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in both German and English.
- Broad knowledge of the high-tech and automotive industries.
- Awareness of current marketing practices.
- Business management, strategic planning, leadership, communication, and customer relations skills.
- Availability for business trips, averaging 25% of the time.
- Experience with RTOS solutions from vendors like Wind River, Green Hills, Vector, or similar is a plus.
