The Role As a Cyber Security Architect – Space discuss safety and security aspects with authorities, certification bodies, and institutions. Required Qualifications Completed university degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong background in information systems and systems engineering. Proven experience in Requirements Engineering and the V‑Model development process. Expertise in satellite communications, satellite navigation programmes, or comparable aerospace systems. Professional experience in applied cryptography, such as cryptographic device development, key device operation, or secure system design. Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms and protocols (e.g., AES, Poly1305, authentication methods). Knowledge of IT security for cryptographic devices, including red‑black separation, tamper protection concepts, and secure operational environments. Experience supporting evaluations based on Common Criteria, ISO/IEC 27000 series, and/or NATO security regulations. Nice To Have Experience with security risk analysis, such as the EBIOS methodology. Understanding of satellite system architecture, ground‑to‑space communication, and on‑board data handling. Familiarity with UML, SysML, and programming languages such as C++ or Python. Knowledge of ground segment engineering and spacecraft operational concepts.
