Hardware Design Engineer (m/f/d)

As Hardware Design Engineer (m / f / d) – FPGA Carrier Boards & High-Speed PCBs, you will be a key part of our Hardware Development Team to drive the design and implementation of high-performance, impedance-controlled PCB layouts and FPGA carrier boards. Together with our World-Class-Team, currently 4 team members, you will take an empowering role: pushing the boundaries of drone technologies.

What is your Day-to-Day Mission:

1. Design and develop complex high-speed PCB layouts with a focus on impedance-controlled and delay-matched routing.
2. Circuit design and development of carrier boards for FPGA modules in a mixed signal environment up to GHz frequencies.
3. Integrate analog components such as filters, amplifiers, ADCs, and DACs into digital systems.
4. Connect external hardware via high-speed memory and data buses.
5. Conceptualize and implement digital interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, SPI, I²C, and UART.
6. Plan and implement robust clock distribution on multilayer PCBs.
7. Design signal paths for both differential and single-ended signals, focusing on signal integrity and EMC.
8. Coordinate with PCB manufacturers and assembly service providers to optimize production.
9. Ensure hardware designs are low-noise, interference-resistant, and EMC-optimized.

What you bring to the team:

• Several years of professional experience in PCB design, especially in high-speed and mixed-signal environments.
• Proficiency in Altium Designer.
• Hands-on experience collaborating with manufacturing and assembly partners.
• Structured, solution-oriented work style with a strong commitment to quality.
• Strong team and communication skills in English; German is a plus.
