Based in Vienna, our engineers and scientists work on technologies for secure global communication.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex technology projects from contract award to delivery, taking responsibility for customer coordination, budget, schedule, scope, risks, and overall project execution. You will also lead multidisciplinary teams in an international environment.
About the role
Independent project execution and coordination with our external partners, such as the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Union (EU), and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG)
Lead complex projects from contract award through to successful delivery
Take responsibility for project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and performance
Act as the key interface to customers and build strong, long-term relationships
Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate external partners
Proactively manage changes, risks, deviations, and mitigation actions
Contribute to proposal and bid activities and support business growth
Coordination with Portfolio Management
Support and enable project managers by introducing best practices, fostering knowledge sharing, and driving continuous improvement
Your Profile
Completed technical or scientific education (e.g. technical college/HTL, university degree, or equivalent qualification)
Several years of project management experience in a high-technology industrial environment (Space industry preferred)
Flexible, organised, and independent working style
Excellent communication skills
Strong customer focus with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Reliable and responsible personality
Strong awareness of deadlines and quality, combined with a very good understanding of business and commercial aspects
Strong team player
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with MS Project is an advantage
Good command of German and English, both written and spoken

The minimum gross salary for this position is €4.359,91 per month on a full-time basis, in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The actual compensation will be above this minimum and will reflect the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
